PH Seafarers First to be ‘whitelisted’ under ILO Convention

The Philippines is now the first country to be officially ‘whitelisted’ under the International Labour
Organization’s (ILO) revised Seafarers’ Identity Documents (SID) Convention, 2003 (ILO Convention No. 185) which permits the movement of seafarers all over the world.

In response to the emerging COVID cases in the country and the implementation of country wide Enhance Community Quarantine (ECQ), FMC was among the first private enterprise that initiated efforts to form a company-wide response unit to quickly source facemasks, PPEs and medical equipment to help address the eminent supply shortage. This was possible thanks to the “Bayanihan Spirit” of our friends and business partners. To date, over Php 9.3M worth of donation were distributed to 77 hospitals covering 7 regions nationwide
COVID Mustard Seed donates 3 High-end Anesthesia Machines

Lung Center of the Philippines, San Juan Medical Center and Mandaluyong City Medical Center were the beneficiaries of the 3 brand new high-end anesthesia machines. This was made possible through the generous initiative of FMC Research Solutions Inc. and Sinoworld Inc., in partnership with PCEC-Philrads and the Philippine National Police. The anesthesia machines will surely boost the capacity of the hospitals to treat critical COVID-related cases.

The supply, installation, support and maintenance of Automated Biometric ldentification Systems (ABIS) for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) was awarded to the Joint Venture FMC Research Solutions Inc. & Idemia Identity and Security France.
PhilSys aims to provide a strong proof of identity for all Filipino citizens and resident aliens as a means of simplifying public and private transactions, enhance administrative governance, strengthen financial inclusion, and promote ease of doing business.

FMC holds Relief Operation for Taal Volcano Victims

In partnership with PHILRADS and friends, FMC has donated and turned over food packs, sacks of rice, training aids and medical assistance to over 122 displaced families by the eruption of Taal Volcano in the town of Laurel, Batangas. Medical, dental, psychiatric, wellness and spiritual services were also extended.

MARINA bags the ‘Best Regional Identification Document’ award for the new Seafarer’s ID (SID) project at the prestigious High Security Printing (HSP) Asia Conference held in Hanoi, Vietnam last 4 December 2018. Other distinguished nominees were Hong Kong ID, the new Taiwan e-Passport, the new Thailand e-Passport, and the new Afghanistan ID, among others. The SID features the state-of-the-art PhotometrixTM from Surys. This is the only 2D barcode with photo that works ONLINE and OFFLINE

FMC signs its First Scholarship Program
